    Cloud Effect

I'm not sure that effect was Photoshop. Looks like some kind of photography trick. I'm sure Tom or someone more versed in photography will be along to tell us what's up. :)

    CYMK vs RGB

No I never had a problem with the blacks. I also forgot to mention that after converting to CMYK I also run the trapping feature at 1 pixel. Actually for sanity's sake, I made my self an action that converts, flattens, traps and saves as .tiff etc. Saved me from the monotony of having to do it...

    CYMK vs RGB

I worked as a comic colorist part time and full time for about 6 or 7 years for various small and indie publishers. I can tell you form experience, that every book I've worked on that has gone to print I've worked on in RGB and they came out just fine. This question comes up a lot in comic pro...

    Under Water Hotel Room

Well here's the complete explanation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caustic_%28optics%29 The simple answer is, caustics are the wavy, random, reflected light pattern you get from from the water. You put them on the floor and the bed. :)

    Angela before and after

Sorry, I didn't see this earlier. Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it. It's going slow, but I have a few customers. Business cards are going to be your cheapest route for advertising. Other than that, there's local papers and website, which in my area costs around $150/month. I was talking...

    Lonely Road

I don't know either, but something, made the ground in the second pic very saturated blue. The first pic, it's not as much. :)

    1957 Buick colorization

Ohhh... Sorry then...move right along...nothing to see here. :)

    Lonely Road

I like the sky from the second pic and the ground from the first. The ground from the second pic is a bit too saturated. :)

    Blind Gagged and Brainwashed

Thanks Clare. It may not be to everyone's taste and I suppose it's a bit controversial, but it makes a statement, and if it makes someone take a second to ponder anything at all it did it's job. :)

    1957 Buick colorization

    Blind Gagged and Brainwashed

Thanks Paul. No real secrets, I followed the same formula as the last painting. The pope for example. I composited different parts I liked from the current and previous pope, into a single figure so it wouldn't look like any one pope. I tweaked it till it fit the image in my head and then used...

    Normalise Colours Across Images

Image/adjustments/shadow/highlights... will allow you to adjust lighting and shadow pretty well depending on how blown out(bright) the image is. I'm working on CS3 though, so there might be a better way in CS5.

I believe it's for the same reason stutterers can sing clearly and people with tourettes aren't affected by their tics when they're singing. You sing from a different part of your brain than you talk from, so the speech impediments don't affect those areas.

    Fruit Salad...YummyYummy!!!

Some of the lighting I took from the photo reference I was using. Other than than that, it was a simple lighting setup of a main warm light coming from the right, and a cool blue fill light from the left. I used general warm and cool color overlays to add atmosphere. Anything more specific you...
