    Early 70's Mercury Pick up

Hey Andrew, my advice would be to treat this the same way you would treat a skin retouch. Make two duplicate layers, one of which would be blurred at 30% or so. The other layer would be a .5 high pass set to overlay or vivid light to preserve the texture. This way you can work strictly with...

    Fruit Salad...YummyYummy!!!

Thank you very much! It's all digitally painted using photo references like this http://alongthedirtroad.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/red-bowl.jpg for the bowl for example. And this...

Group photo when one of the group isn't there..

iDad is right, similar lighting conditions are the single most important element in getting a composite to look correct. Next to that, make sure the resolution on the photos are the same. If those two detail are properly in place you should have no problem compositing the two. :)

    The Eye

Ohhhhh...THAT'S what it's for. I've had my bamboo for about two and half years now and never had a clue what it was for. Still sitting in the bag with my extra tips.

Copy and pasting across layers in CS2

My question for you would be, why are doing any of that to simply re-size an image on a an individual layer? Just hit cntrl t and re-size it that way. If you hold the shift key while re-sizing your transformation will stay uniform. If you need precise dimensions you can plug those in up top...

Been a long time. Some new art.

I wasn't sure what to think of these at first glance, but the more I look, the more I really like them. Whatever technique you use is really weird, but very effective. To my eye it looks like you painted the picture and then went back with the liquify tool to add the swirly effect and then maybe...

Ya 8 was specifically design for touch tablet use, and normal PC users suffer for it. :(

    Graphics Tablet

Practice practice! Also if you not used to using a tablet, the hand/eye coordination thing takes a bit of getting used to. Also the tablet doesn't have the same resistance and feel of pen/pencil against paper. Took me a couple of weeks to get used to it.

    Graphics Tablet

Ya, it sounds from the reviews, like it's going to be another xp disaster or worse. I am definitely waiting to get my next PC.

Can't help you with windows 8. I heard they got rid of a bunch of standard windows features, much to the anger and frustration of users. If someone else here doesn't know, I'm sure a Google search would find you an answer. :)

    Graphics Tablet

I don't know what OS your running, but if it's Windows 7(probably 8 as well), it comes with it's own tablet driver which completely mess with your wacom drivers. If you didn't know this or haven't done it yet, make sure you run msconfig, go to the service tab and uncheck the Microsoft tablet...

    Fruit Salad...YummyYummy!!!

Only if your honest and upfront about your skills and what you did or didn't do. If I had said I painted this right off the top of my head with no reference, that would be dishonest, and I would be putting forth a piece that is not representative of my actual skill level, just to make...

    Fruit Salad...YummyYummy!!!

Thanks Inkz,! My rendering and lighting skills are decent from working in comics as a colorist for 8 years and from the old art school training. I do lack in a lot of areas though, and had to use photo reference for most of it, tweaked the lighting to meet my needs and called it done. :)
