    Yeah you should lose the metallic text and background and maybe make the text glossy aqua color text. If you want a example I'll post a picture.

    I think your main problem is that your resolution is too low. When making a new document make sure your resolution is set to 72. Also make sure that your radius on your rounded edges tool is set to 5 inches. If you text is too small then highlight 72 on font size while you have the text...

    I'm not trying to be mean or anything but alot of famous logos are really simple but look good and are good quality. Honestly I think you should stick with the last logo but remove the background you have on it then it will look awesome.:D
