    can you explain your problem more precisely. I guess if you make a single image having the vertical images and gradient and use it as background image in html that should work. Let me know if this solves your problem.

    just check the image mode as well. It should be RGB. If its gray scale colors will not change other than shades of grey.

    png files are heavy but don't loose quality. But i still suggest you to use jpg format, it is lighter and the quality of picture is adjustable.

    1024x768 used to be the ideal resolution. But now due to new monitor sizes and high resolutions fluid layouts are much better as they adjust to the screen size automatically.

    Logo text editing or creating logos the same way as the uploaded one

    you need to save your files as .psd for editing, you can easily edit this in photoshop. PNG won't work. You can save the final logo file as .gif, jpeg or .png.

    The best resolution for making any logo is 300 dpi. If you want to use it for website should re-size the logo at 72 dpi. Save the logo in gif format as it is the best format for a logo image. You can use the 300 dpi logo for printing purpose.
