Change color and other things ONLY for added person..

if the image was "originally" a B/W grayscale image... and you want it to be color... your only option is to "paint it" in, but, you must be an artist to pull this off... a B/W image, that was scanned, or from a B/W negative, there is no color data... if this pertains to the project you have...

Change color and other things ONLY for added person..

it is not... possible... even with the magical powers of Photoshop and computers... I might suggest starting over, and keep the layers separate, not grouped... neutral images = neutral color

Change color and other things ONLY for added person..

if they are on separate layers... simply click the eye-ball off on one layer, it "cannot" be affected... depending on the tool you are using you "can" affect all layers... group layers at the end, to clean-up/streamline the file, not during... to solve this issue in the future, balance images...

"drag and drop" vs "place" image

dpi... dots per inch, and ppi... pixels per inch, are both measurements, related somewhat... but, you cannot calculate between them... seems like you are dealing with an old-school printer... as far as your other question... your file will have one resolution... if you add one file of a...

take any photo of a plant, or a close-up of grass, then blur... you will quickly see this effect... and notice how the shapes change as you blur... or... blur some text, and watch the shapes change... then is just a matter of feathering the blur... a gradation, is the easiest way... or use a...
