    Should one change the resolution of the preview photo?

    I use PS 7 and learning fast. The default resolution when I open a photo, is set on 72 pixels per inch. This produces a photo with not a lot of detail and my previews are not the same as the end result. I have read somewhere that it is better to work on 300 dpi. Is this correct? And if...

    Increase resolution of a preview photo

    I have PS 7 and learning. My preview photos are not of a good quality. I have read that one should change the resolution of the photo from 72 dpi to 300 dpi. Should one do it, and if so, how do I do it and set it as the default when I open a new image? Thanks

    Hi

    I am still from the old school and used a Minolta 35mm camera previously. I've been using a Sony Cybershot, until it broke. So, now I bought a Canon EOS 450D recently and has Photoshop 7.0.1. It's a bit of a learning curve to use both, as I've edited and organised my photos with Picasa.
