    CYMK vs RGB

Hi folks, I eventually want to physically print a comic book. The printer across the street basically said that commercial printing mean CMYK colors. So, should I simply create and save my work in CMYK, or use RGB and then convert, assuming that the colors translate perfectly each time...

    iPod Mini ad.

Working on some print ads in Photoshop. Found a great site that leads you through print ads on a step by step basis. I was hoping they were real ads explained by real pros, but I don't think so. If anyone knows of a site like that though, please let me know...

The swirlies and logo were done entirely in ILLY. Then put into Photoshop with the hand. I know I could make it better, but this is as much as I'm willing to put into it right now.

    Hybrid animals 1 - Frog & Snake

Ha ha! VERY cool! Great concept! The head does look a little grafted on though. Like it's not the same texture or lighting or something. What's your general process to combine the two, at least at the beginning stages? Do you combine the images in Photoshop in separate layers, and then...

Started out as following an online Illy tutorial, looked at the finished product, decided to keep going and make into a book cover.

Illustrator Saving gradients for use in other documents

Hi folks, I created this rainbow gradient. Saved it in the swatches panel (if there is a better place, please let me know). But when I open up another document, the rainbow gradient isn't available. Can anyone explain how to make this gradient accessible in other documents? And I mean...

Illustrator Proportional resize. Involves maybe a match calculation?

Oh, you're using the multiply symbol. Very nice! I wish I'd thought of that. Probably works with all 4 operations (plus minus times and division). But can you select all three at once, and have ILLY do the calculations automatically?

    Illustrator Hi! Please help!

If I understand you correctly, and I might not be, you want to custom set the swirl tool and/or pen tool to create a special effect as you write the letter "A", for example. This is possible, but technically speaking, you are off-base. By creating the letter "A", you've created an object, not...

Illustrator Proportional resize. Involves maybe a match calculation?

Hi folks, Sorry, it should say "math calculation" in the heading. I want the red circle 1/3rd the size of the black. And I want the white 1/3rd the size of the red. Or I can do it backwards and say I want the red 2/3rd bigger than the white, and the black 2/3rds bigger than the red (is that...

    Few pieces of typography

Feeling shattered: If everything is supposed to have been dropped from a height, I would say spread the letters out a bit more like the spare glass all around. You can break it up quite a bit and the human eye will still recognize the font and be able to read it. Lots of room for creativity...

Been a long time. Some new art.

Far out! Do you start with photographs and then modify in PS, or is it all out of your head and into PS? OFC.

OK, let's see the difference... Hmmm...no difference in quality between the my method and yours, but of course yours is faster. I still see the jagged expression of pixelation along the tops of each frame, the pixelation being a result of changing formats from .AI (super sharp and straight...

Hi Superiorsyed, Well, I create the file in Illustrator, so it's a .AI file in my folder. But when I "save as", .jpg is not a choice. So I had to open the file in Photoshop and then save it as a .jpg. If you know of a better way, your guidance is welcome. OFC.
