My Before and After series 4

I think you did a good job cleaning up all the obvious damage. But the image is left looking flat and unsaturated. Try opening up curves or levels and moving the start and end points to the edges of information in the histogram to optimize the tone you've got. I dont know if it was your...

when merging poster the title text layer changes look of text

Maybe try a copy merge? select all, command(ctrl)+shift+C, then paste. This would give you a flattened version without having to actually flatten.

Help!… can't draw curved lines anymore

I am extremely interested to see where this thread goes. I tried to produce the results that Mark is experiencing to no avail. But if this ever did happen to me it would drive me insane. Would be nice to know what caused this PS behavior.

Bahama, keep working on your coloring. You're not doing a bad job at all. Watch the saturation in your shadows they look a little hot, and try to create a little more separation of color between eyes/flesh/facial hair.

Easiest way to CREATE gradient banding?

Try Filter/Artistic/Poster Edges, or Cut out. The edges can look a little sloppy and pixelated, but i guess that depends on the resolution of your image

    i finally tried recolorization

Colorizing BW images is tricky. I think a natural first instinct is to go for a color fill. This results in a wierd monotone sort of look. flesh tone is made up of many different colors. Hilights need to be treated differently than shadows, same goes for midtones. I try to add a little color...

    Eye Fix

Im guessing that your concern is how the eye on the right looks a bit taller? I would use liquify on this image. Using the warp tool inside liquify, adjust the brush size to be slightly bigger than the area you want to move. Make tiny adjustments untill things are looking more normal. Its an...

    Req: Help me merge photos

I used a layer mask on the light figure to blend out the screen. I wanted to keep some of the reflections on the keyboard, so I didn't totally blend that out. Since the backgrounds are both so dark theres no real need to worry about masking or selecting any area other than where the man and the...

Oil Painting of My Girlfriend. PSCS5 Mixer Brush and Pixel Bender Way.

Its a good start, and its nice to hear other people are using the mixer brush. When I look at this image I'm loving the colors, that little piece of blue sky is a tad distracting though. Great texture in the hair on the right side of her head. I think as a portrait it is a decent likeness of...
