    Maybe I don't understand your question, but why don't you just use: Image / Mode / CMYK Color?

    Go to the menu and select: Window / Workspace / Essentials Under Edit, you should now see a menu option called Define Brush Preset So next time, stop fiddling with default values without knowing what you're doing. Have fun with the tutorial. ;)
