interesting work, not sure which i like better, the white background or the swirly, both give a completely different mood to the image.

How to get this colors and effects

looked at the colors again on your examples, esp. the first, and had another go at it to get more of the yellow/pink color. and here's the .psd cause that's easier than listing all the layers and describing what the curves look like.

How to get this colors and effects

sorry, i don't have any tutorials.. i just played around. basically use the drop down menu to get to the different colors. if you remember than cmyk is the opposite of rgb you'll be fine. so to add red or cyan move the curve up or down respectively in the red menu, same for green and magenta...

How to get this colors and effects

done with curves and solid layers of color set to different blending modes. not sure if you can download this, but it's a psd file so you can see what i did. lighting in the original picture makes a big difference on the outcome.

Looking for Action to Create Greeting Card Image

sorry, but i'm just confused now. what do you mean you don't know how to create the image? are you talking about an illustration or are you talking about adding text? an action won't help either of those, you'll need to learn the software. if you want an image of an entire greeting card then...

last day on eart 4 - work in progress

not exactly what i'm after hoogle. none of the rockets have taken off, so they couldn't have crashed yet. granted i did work an incident a few years back where a helicopter crashed before it left the ground yet, but i hope that the fictional rocketmen aren't that special...

for the message i'm thinking of two options: 1 - do not light warp drive or 2- reactor coils located under bed

no, only the vacancy word is lit. but the words 'sorry, no' are right above it unlit.

last day on eart 4 - work in progress

thanks. definitely have to light up the 'sorry, no' words above the vacancy. i had to light the silver saddle motel words so it would make sense to match the no vacancy sign.

last day on eart 4 - work in progress

the whole series has rockets in it (the series is for a bathroom remodel - cowboy/space theme like firefly). so i was going for a motel thing here. i plan on adding portholes and ladders later when i find the right ladder stock.

last day on eart 4 - work in progress

4th in the series, not finished. few things to polish and haven't decided what to put on the sign. suggestions appreciated. all stock mine this time. updated version: this is finished, i think.. completely replaced "sorry no" and lit. added message to sign and ladders to rockets. polished...

    Please help me!!!

girl actually, anthony is the last name. i'm partial to the gunmetal grey, but mostly because it reminds me of my brother's all black 85 camaro. tried to push the orange color a bit more using curves, but lost some of the highlights.

    Please help me!!!

oops, forgot to mask out the lights and turn signals...

    Please help me!!!

didn't spend too much time on the masking so the edges are iffy in places... but you get the idea. hue/sat layer with blue background pasted on top and set to blending mode luminosity (to smooth out artifacts from the hue/sat adj.). black done with curves adj. layer.
