    Mirror Effect Reflection Shadow .

Aaron's tutorial is pretty good — that whole reflections with curved objects thing can definitely be tricky. I like that he manually hand paints in part of the reflection, and that's a skill that anyone whole wants to get serious with image manipulation and creation should try hard to master...

    Adobe Photoshop Keyboard Shortcut Downloads

A wee gotcha with some of the Michael Nimmes Power Shortcuts is that using Ctrl Alt T for Tile Windows means you can't do the very useful Transform Again, or Transform Step & Repeat, So just remember that shortcuts are saved with Workspaces... Switch back to the default Essentials Workspace do...

    Work

Retired engineer from the UK motor industry. I used to design test instrumentation. I had a formal education in photography, film production, and graphic art in the days when it was all done with scalpels and paste boards. Was offered the chance to work as an assistant in an advertising...

How To Sharpen Up A Portrait Photograph?

I'll 2nd the use of the clone tool, along with any of the selection tools. Also the brush tool together with selections, or some freehand with a very fine brush size. Unfortunately, you are not going to fix the lack of skin texture by firming up the outlines, but yo can have a stab at it with...

Can you get this licence plate???

In NZ we have #555 from a cell phone, and I understand that police not only follow up these reports, but actually prosecute based on these calls. It sounds open to abuse, but perhaps they need more than one complain to charge the driver. As to this photograph, 1280 x 720 looks like a single...

fill shape with text of random sizes

John Nack blogged an extreme example a week or so back, and there is a video of the guy producing the artwork (it is definitely art). He appears to be using Free Transform, as suggested, but he is pretty snappy at it...

How to do this pattern stroke??

Regards the multiple line layers, two ways of saving a wee bit of time would be 1) Free Transform > Step and repeat, and 2) the Array function in Trevor Morris's Dmonzon tools panel. So many layers are kind of messy, but start with the first line a Group and merge the group when done. Out of...

    photoshop - jewelry

As far as photographing that sort of thing, the trick is to light panels that reflect the light from the panels to the camera. To do it in post, like people have said, you paint highlights with white. Most of my paid work is product related, and you can really bring some of those items to...

Quick question for object square stroke?

OK the. Make the selection a Work Path, and Free Transform the work path. You need to drag Shift Alt corner handle to get the top and bottom offset, followed by Alt drag a side handle to fix the aspect ratio. Then zoom in and fix the work path, as some of the curves points definitely get a bit...

Quick question for object square stroke?

If you are able to stroke the dress outline, then you must have a selection of the dress? Use Transform Selection to make larger, and fill that selection on a layer below the dress layer. That will keep all lines and corners sharp.

I am not entirely sure where you are up to, but I wonder if setting screen mode to Full screen with menu bar is what you are looking for. You also mentioned finding various file locations http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/preference-file-functions-names-locations.html

New Design "More to the eyes"

To me, if you are going to have the focal point dead center, then it should be square and not skewed.
