Is it possible to paste a selection along a line?

IanSam, I thought about this later and wondered why on earth I was over complicating it. Free Transform is the obvious way to do it.

Is it possible to paste a selection along a line?

You could use Free Transform Step & Repeat I suppose, which would streamline the process, but not by much, and you'd still have a bunch of layers to flatten. Hey, how about using the Array function in Trevor Morris's Dmonzon Tools scrip? That's a really useful add on panel - especially the...

    Font with small font inside

Thanks for the link. It reminded me of a big project using Illustrator where thousands of text items (or similar) were supplied by other people to make up a design. Unfortunately, I don't have a clear enough memory to Google the project, but this is a cool way of doing it using text converted...

removing text without clone or patch

That sounds kind of a daft question because you have to use something to make a change. Unless you are using a pedantic definition for 'tools'. Is there a particular reason you want to exclude the most useful options for making the edit?

Help changing color of monotone images and shapes

I don't often use Threshold because it lacks even a modicum of subtlety. No trace of anti-aliasing for instance, so you end up with jaggy edges. If you look at the histogram in the Levels properties panel above, you can see the spike a third in from the right, that represents the grey tones...

    Font with small font inside

OK, that's easy. Use the type tool with a heavy sans serif font to create the word MOTOROLA. Now use the type tool again, but this time drag a text box across the big MOTOROLA word. Select a small font and type the word MOTOROLA with a space after it. DON'T OK THIS LAYER YET! Use Ctrl (Cmd) a...

    Colour transition?

The example shows a very subtle colour transition. If you wanted a more obvious transition, you'd need to clip a Hue saturation layer to each of the glass layers and adjust the Hue. Use the numeric value on the right of the slider to obtain an even change between each glass layer.

    Colour transition?

Make the layer copies, and move any one of the copies to the right of the screen Select all the glass layers, and with the Move tool selected, click on the icon shown below in the Options bar This link talks you through the other distribute and align options, and they are super handy...

A good PC for working with photoshop Cs6 and Premiere cs6?

Just seen this on Toms' Hardware Where it comes from http://basicinstructions.net/basic-instructions/2013/9/29/how-to-advise-someone-as-to-what-kind-of-computer-they-shoul.html

    Colour transition?

The easiest way I can think of is to fill layer with a gradient, and set the blend mode to Color. I had to select the glass - in fact I selected the white background and deleted it. Then make the copies and space them out (do you know how to use the spacing options with the Move tool?). I...

    Font with small font inside

Do you want the small words to form meaningful sentences? If so, that is going to be tricky. Very tricky, unless somebody very clever has a dastardly clever trick up their sleeve? If you just want text inside text, that is easy. So can you clarify?

Getting rid of "stray" pixel lines between lineart and color

I got as far as Photoshop 7. You can't expect folk to wade through a short novel.

Levels. Move black slider to the right.

A good PC for working with photoshop Cs6 and Premiere cs6?

Do still look at the system optimization links. All they are is a way to get a lean mean editing machine, stripped of unnecessary, system slowing, clutter.

    Event Horizon

The vertical lines are made from two images both of which use camera movement with a slow shutter speed. The top of the picture is a stand of black birch, and this used the top part of the image with the sky behind it. I can't remember what the bottom blurred lines are, but the more solid line...

    Back Alley Vector Illustration

Can Illustrator do shading? For instance, to give the balcony railings some depth? Can you swap images, or parts of images from Illustrator to Photoshop? It's very east to move between apps like Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects and Photoshop, and it would be nice if the same dynamic link...

    Back Alley Vector Illustration

Hey, that's really nice work. Is it for a specific project or just an idea you felt like developing? I am new to Illustrator since the CC went live, and am currently working my through one of the Lynda.com titles for it. Early days bu it looks like some cool software.
