    Recreating a logo

What you have described in terms of layers (background, moon, wolf) is exactly correct. Making a silhouette is a pretty straight-forward task. Start with the image you want to use. Mask off the portion you wish to keep. Using the Hue / Saturation Adjustment tool, decrease lightness...

    Help on making a Template?

Manda, The easiest way for your to re-color your logo would be the following: (1) Load one of the logos that I posted above with the transparent background into GIMP. (2) [Alt]-click on the thumbnail image in the layers palette. At this point, you should see the "marching ants" around...

    Help on making a Template?

I like your logo very much. Here is a black and a white version of your logo which have both been "cut out" and placed onto a transparent background. The white one may be difficult to see, but it is between the black one and the white one on gray background. Anyway, just open your photograph...

I'd click "like" on this one twice if I could. I really like how well you added the lighting from the ball.

Am I able to get some small edits on a photo

There have been so many excellent transformations in this thread; so I thought I could do a little playing around now. I learned this from "Aunty Claire". :) I believe she likes to call it trolling.

Am I able to get some small edits on a photo

I've seen several people who have been willing to do small edits over the past few days. Post your picture and see if anyone is interested. At least let people know more specifically what you are trying to do.

help designing watermark for car photography

Good eye, Claire. Yes, I did use classic Chevy lettering. I thought it fit in with the automotive motif. As for the "streak", I was taking inspiration from the Maserati logo. I tried using the oval shape as well, but it didn't look right with the aperture so I re-drew it as a circle...

help designing watermark for car photography

This is a better idea. Rather than me searching for and trying out half a dozen different fonts, why don't you take a look around http://www.dafont.com and find one of the free fonts that you like. You can type in your name and see a preview of what it will look like with the different fonts...

How to type a special character like degree symbol (e.g. 70 degrees F)

What you want to do is type "ALT Codes". For example, on a Mac, the degree symbol is [Alt+Shift+8] --- 70°. On windows, hold down [Alt] while typing "0176" on the numeric keypad. More information here: http://symbolcodes.tlt.psu.edu/accents/codemac.html and here...
