    Trying to ungrey "define brush preset"

    The only way that I can get CS4 to "grey out" define brush is if my canvas is too large. 2500 pixels wide or high is the cutoff. I even adjusted the resolution all the way up to 1200ppi. Changed to all the different color modes and bits. It always works for me unless I get above 2500 pixels...

    3D 3d in PS CS4

    Not sure of all the formats, but I do know *.3ds is one of them. 3D Studio Max, various AutoDesk apps, and several other 3d programs will save as *.3ds Regards, Dave

    With your marquee tool selected, make sure (up top near the menu) that you have feather set to 0 and normal selected. Hope it helps, Dave

    Not sure about the first part of your question (plugin folder). I just throw all mine in the same folder. As for the second part, ... Edit>Settings>Interface Uncheck the box "Open Documents as tabs". Hope it helps, Dave

    Unable to change text in layer

    If you are unable to edit the text, open the layer pallet and click the eye next to the layer the text is on. That will hide the text. (Hopefully, it's still on a layer by itself). Now select the type tool and type on your new text. Adjust size, color and font to your liking.
