    Sports Font

    ARFA RITUS .. it's not 'Machine Font' (BNMachine) .. it's sort of close .. I've had a bit of a look around but it's a real needle in a haystack job trying to find it without a font name ... hopefully someone will recognise it for rgbivens and post the info ... regards namvet

    had a play with the tutorial ... 1st image is as per the tutorial .. with the second image I wanted to 'dirty it up a bit' (clouds .. using dark brown and dark green, then dropped opactity to 50% and fill to 40% and then overlay ... there's probably a better way to do it .. but I think it...

    scanned pics are 'honeycombed'

    ronmatt .. thanks for quick reply ... more information ... the original pic is 74 years old (give or take a year) .. I am told that the lady in the middle was a blonde and that her hair always went dark in photo's so this leads me to think that the original pic is colour photo not b&w tinted...

    I have a couple of these pics which need some minor repairs .... seemed an easy task until I scanned them, repaired them .. so far so good .. then I printed them .... arrgh!! .. the 'honeycomb' came through in the printed pic!! .... as the repairs were minor I hadn't 'zoomed' in PS7 and so...

    ok, am miffed ... have downloaded some freebie frames/borders from Sage ... just for a 'look see' ... (http://www.photoshop.brushes.btinternet.co.uk/ ... for the curious) .. unzipped them, had a look at the file extension and they are rfr files (example: floral 003.rfr) .. doh! [confused] ...

    francesco ... if you use a bookshelf background, the books in the bookshelf perhaps should be related to the subjects graduation ... often, when I have a 'yucky' background in a pic I will replace it with a curtained background (I have found that plain materail curtains are best - not 'net/mesh'...

    ljiljana ... thanks for your kind words .... theKeeper .... thanks am glad you liked it .. I posted 'layers alternative' only to let any other members who are pen/paths "challenged" know there was another workable alternative .. gradually I am learning more, it just takes time and practice...
