    Need a gritty look.

Sorry about the size Wendy. They are a wee bit obnoxious. ;\ I tried some elements of Mark's grunge tut on my next banner. I'm still experimenting and I need some backshadows but I like the look of this much better. :righton: I had never really played around with filters before so it has...

Thanks Keeper! (Can you tell I'm a noob at all this? :D ) I will happily take any advice I can get. I'll pass that information on to the site's owner.

Thanks abbe. They will each eventually be reduced to 800 pixels wide in their finished form. I just put four banners together in one graphic for illustration purposes. :)

I rather hastily and crudely drew this by eye on a layer ( I gotta be off on the commute to work. :) ) But I do think...

    Cartoon question

Thanks you all for the quick and warm response! :) You have quite the friendly staff here! I think I may have come up with a solution of sorts. By using a pattern instead of a fill on the bottom layer and distorting it to follow the perspective of the room. Looks a little more like wallpaper...

    Cartoon question

Hi all....newbie here...I'm kinda still trying to figure out PhotoShop and was looking for advice on creating patterns. I recently drew up this cartoon and colored it using only PhotoShop. However although I used a stucco-like effect on the back wall I would much rather have had a wallpaper-like...
