    Yea Ohio Guy, In CS6 things will snap to the guide. The blue/green line is the guide. The rulers have to be on to pull the guide out of the ruler. Make sure snap and snap to is selected from the View panel. ctrl+; will turn the guides on and off. hope this helps. Ron

    Ahh, that worked. Thank You. Im new to CS6 I appreciate it. I thought if I was on a non-text layer, selected the type tool, clicked the document I should get a new text layer.... but apparently not without turning off the original text layer. I reset all tools and it didnt help either. Thank...

    I'm making a banner for a web site. I cant add/start another text layer. When I select the type tool and click on the document it takes me back to the existing text layer. On a background copy layer I applied a blend mode, is this why I cant add another text layer? Im missing something and could...
