    My first designs

I really like the avatar you did up for yourself. Just keep going and keep challenging yourself, you’ll get up there eventually. Best of luck to you, Shawn.

    Rate my grphic please

The lens flare is defiantly overwhelming on this and when I see lens flares used like this my brain automatically feels it looks unprofessional. I want to say I’d give it a 6/10 without the flare, but it also looks like the sparks are identical, but the lens flare is blocking most of the middle...

    Resizing Images Real Small....Pixelation Problems

Glad you were able to get the problem fixed! Sometimes shrinking images like that can be a pain in the butt. On a side note, my curiosity has been spiked. You said you are using it to make a photo bracelet? I would love to see how it turns out in the end!

How to change the backround stripes from green to pink?

Were you able to change the color Jtt89? What did you end up doing, using the pen tool? Do you have a picture of it finished?

    How can I re-create this painted X??

Tried searching for "stretched plastic" images as suggested, but it's tougher than I originally thought. My way would probably be to browse through the different tutorials and brushes found online until I come to something that would be remotely helpful. Inefficient, yes, but effective in its...

    Feedback on a logo

I was going to say that you should choose a yellow/red combination since that's the color of the Vietnam flag, but I just realized you already gave a reason for your color choice. It looks great, though the tagline looks a tad out of place for some reason I can't put my finger on.

    Gimp to Photoshop

It seems that your problem has several ready solutions from what I've been reading through in the comments. Your best bet would probably be removing the background layer as another suggested, but that depends on how the logo was made in the first place. Worst case is that you manually smoothen...

    Promo Posters

Your officemates are actually right. Those posters look great, considering the subjects that you worked on. They are eye-catching, readable and consistent with the use of fonts.

    Volcom Logo Background

Nice work. I agree though that adding some outer glow can be a good work around to keep the diamond shape from losing its effect.

    Printing Business Cards in Photoshop.

I suggest looking through photoshop tutorials online. It's much easier learning with some visual aids like pictures and videos than simply reading through the tips of other online folks. Especially if the software you are using is a popular one, it shouldn't be too hard to find some great tutorials.

    Business card

Perhaps you should consider availing of the services of a commercial printer instead to save you the trouble of making your own and potentially making a mistake? There are many different pros to printing with a professional, not least of which is the assurance that your cards will get to you on...

    mario inspired

Very awesome! As an avid Mario fan and as an artist I can honestly say that this picture put a smile on my face. I’m also inspired to do picture like this. Does anyone have any tips they found helpful when doing these?

    Restaurant Logo

I like the second one better, but feel like it still needs more work. The hat is nice, but a little bit too light, maybe go just a shade or two darker. Also, with your meat, it’s hard to identify what kind it is. Are the lines on it supposed to be char marks? They don’t seem right light; they...

    80's Poster

I like it for the most part. However, I feel that the Rubik’s cube seems out of place. A nice concept seeing as how the Rubik’s cube seems kind of symbolic of being 80’s, but it just feels out of place in this picture. I’m thinking it could be how the red, yellow, and blue colors in it don’t...

    Latest work

I like the coloring you've done and the shadow in the foreground is good, but that just makes the background beg for some treatment. The flat color of the background makes it seem too close when you start applying shading and texture to the foreground stuff.

Few Photos from Todays Beach Trip

My favorite is the stacks of rocks. Reminds me of the ancient Hebrew practice of stacking rocks as a reminder, they were called ebenezers which is why Ebenezer Scrooge got his name, since he's a reminder to all of us.

    3D 3D rectangular box

Don't forget the canvas texture when you transform the images. That will really finish off the effect nicely (along with drop shadows that actually exist!).

So cool. Its portraits like these that have actually been drawn then photoshopped that I really admire. Sophia Grotto is another illustrator whose work I often check back on.
