Converting 35mm slides to view on 40" TV

Image --> Image Size set to 72dpi, 1920px width. But if you are putting this on a VOB DVD (like a DVD you can play in a DVD player, then it's not possible to keep 1920x1080 resolution.... you will need to use BluRay instead of DVD.

Copying layers from one file to another ???

If the resolution and pixel dimensions of both images are the same I don't know why it would duplicate as a smaller size. Are you copying just one layer and maybe it doesn't fill the whole canvas? Or maybe double check the pixel dimensions.... I don't know if it would make any difference...

    Hi From New Zealand

Hmm that's an old version of PS. I don't remember what filters it has, but look under Filter --> Noise and see what you find there. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the fuzzy corners though.

Batch work saving with different name to same source folders?

There's another excellent tool for bulk renaming of files that I use sometimes, it's called Metamorphose. It has every option you could ever think of and it's free. Do a search and you can find it easily.

    [Ph CS5 ] 3D cover book effect

There's some good actions for doing that, but the dimensions etc. will depend on your artwork. Do you already have a flat (non-3D) copy of the cover?

As Steve said, [ and ] should work, as they are the default increase/decrease brush size keyboard shortcuts.

    Image Editing & Enhancement Request

Looks good to me, the lens flare works well with the rest of the lighting and shadows. The rainbow could be larger, it looks a bit small and distant....

    Help to create a object

That's a very small pic, but it looks like just rectangles... you can make them with the shape tool, or use the rectangular marquee tool to make selections and then fill then with color. You can then choose Edit --> Transform --> Rotate and you can change the orientation as needed.

Eliminating grey from backround in a scanned image

Yea Select --> Color Range as Rogue suggested is a good way to handle this also. The stroke effect in my PSD was just so I could distinguish the scanned image form the white background.... it gave me a reference point when I was making the levels adjustment. It's not important. Just play...
