Set the lady to overlay and mess around with opacity...

That would retain the texture of the statue as well.

Changing colour from Black to White!

Well, it's there in Photoshop CS5, and is in the Hue/Saturation adjustment box... Read this, the first line says that it adjusts hue, saturation, and lightning. http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop/cs/using/WSfd1234e1c4b69f30ea53e41001031ab64-7664a.html

Help create an image layout / template / design

Merge all layers (Make sure you save a copy first!) Then just add bevel and emboss layer style... seeing that pic, you would have to mess with the three sliders (forgot their names, but, reduce the spread, increase blur (IDK what it was called)) Then just lower the opacity of white and black...

Changing colour from Black to White!

Pretty easy if you want to change with Hue/Saturation! To change black to "normal" colors (Like to change black to red, green etc) -> Change lightness value to 50, continue with editing Hue and Saturation sliders. To turn black to white -> turn lightness value to 100. To turn white to black...

    Colorizing white, I need help.

To get full color from white, use the value -50 on the lightness slider :D (+50 if color black is to be changed) and then you will have no problem changing the color... Tell us more about what color it needs to be changed to, I'm pretty sure people here at PSG forums could help you :)

Import Black & White pdf, change white background to transparent.

Another Method - Use any of the selection tool (magic wand, or quick selection) Click on the white area. All white will be automatically selected. You can delete it, then save as PNG/GIF to preserve transparency, OR, you can refine the edge even further. To refine edge, just click the...

Need help figuring out this color effect

It's just increasing the saturation :) From adjustment layers, make a new Hue/Saturation layer. Pump up the Saturation to 100. Using the layer mask in the adjustment layer, paint over (with black) on the main element of the design.

    Resizing issue

As steve said, ratio is your biggest problem. What you can do is, click on the crop tool. Enter the height and width in the boxes (below the menu; be sure to enter px afterwards, ie, 180 px) Use the crop tool to get as much of the design as you can, press enter, and volia!

    Watermarking

I made a watermark, defined a brush outta it. Now easily apply watermark, EVERYWHERE! I just use it on a new layer, then tone down the opacity. If I want to make the watermark more visible, I add a drop shadow, AND bevel, and instead of turning the opacity down, I leave it at 100%, and turn...
