Thanks Dezigns. This has been resolved and the reason, completely weird and senseless. My xhtml file was corrupt. maybe now we can all understand why I was looking at different places and hence me not being specific enough lol. i made a copy of my xhtml file last night to show one of my buddies...

    Problem viewing graphics in IE

Yes tried IE w/o addons already, no good. Yes only my pc's. about to send this to one of my partners who believes he has IE7. Just so you know, my pc's have two different builds. one is XP Home Edition, another is a build from the company I work for. I will try your suggestion and let you know.

    Problem viewing graphics in IE

Actually I haven't Steve lol. I think it's one of two things: 1. There is a bug with IE8 and CSS or one of it's selector's properties (because as soon as I remove the link to CSS in my html file, it works and I can see the jpg). 2. a recent patch installed via Window Update (doesn't make sense...

    Problem viewing graphics in IE

well considering the fact that it seemed like a Photoshop issue at first, that's what I thought. as I continued to look at this, I could open the files in Internet Explorer either without css being linked in or through File/Open in Internet Explorer. Reason why I thought it was Photoshop was...

    Problem viewing graphics in IE

i'm getting closer now. found a workaround which is leading me to the cause of the problem. it's a CSS related issue. when i "save for web" using html and images, it works. i even used the images that were not showing in the newly generated code and all of a sudden they were showing. the moment...

    Problem viewing graphics in IE

i'm suspecting Active X for some reason. why do you say that Dezigns Unlimited? especially if I CAN open a jpg i created in photoshop on 11/16/10. it's any file I create NOW that I cannot see in IE. any file I created before 11/16 I can see. so logically, this leads me to believe that it could...

    Problem viewing graphics in IE

still cannot see it. what steps did you exactly do to remove color management? i'm still new to Photoshop and see that there are many menu items that mention or link to color. i did a fresh Adobe CS2 install on my desktop (which never had Adobe installed before), and still am unable to see it...

    Problem viewing graphics in IE

the files I produced in Photoshop a few months back are fine. Now, however, none can be displayed in IE. I'm thinking something with color profile either in Photoshop or the files themselves. If anyone has an idea, pls let me know. I want to avoid uninstalling/reinstalling, esp if it doesn't work :)

    Problem viewing graphics in IE

I would think this is a common issue, but I find it "baffling" that I cannot find this anywhere, so here goes... I'm using Photoshop CS2 and CS4, and any jpg or gif I create cannot be viewed in IE, but can be seen in any other browser. Happens on two machines. At one point I did change some...
