    Layer styles doesn't have the flexibilty I'd like. With a gradient tool I can drag on it.

    It's strange. I apply a gradient to the area outside of the cicle...it's black and white. If I do it inside of the circle...it's just fade.

    I select gradient tool, then I select the layer mask, then I draw over the circle. Is this right? it creates a gradient...but not to the desired effect.

    Blend mode is normal. I use a layer mask so the gradient only affects the cicle itself.

    Thanks but I'm afraid none of the tips help. It's 100% opacity, the mode is normal and it's fade to colour. Still it fades to background.

    Hi I've just created a white circle. I would like to add some shading on it to make it appear more 3D. I use the gradient tool...but instead of it being white...with dark grey/black shading. It goes from white and fades to the colour of the background it's on. I've spent hours messing around...

    Hi I'm trying to create a poster like this. It's nearly done except for the grainy effects (noise) and the guassain blur. Is there a way of adding effects to the whole of the psd file and changing the contrast/hue without having to flatten the layers? Thanks.

    Hi thanks. I'm afraid it doesn't work. I select a path...go to stroke fill...it fills it...but I cannot change the stroke size/colour. What could I be doing wrong? Is the stroke selection in the upper left corner of the screen? If so...when I click on it...nothing happens. Can anyone help me...

    Thanks...the main issue I have now is I am unable to change the stroke brush/colour/size. I select a path...Go to stroke fill...but I cannot change the options?

    Managed to get the building white (path 1), but when I try to get the blocks/windows (path 2) filled with dark grey...it either deletes the white background or just will not fill in the path with grey. I select the paths as shown in the picture...select "fill subpath" with colour...nothing...

    Hi I've just tried this by hand. Traced over the building using paths...but I cannot seem to fill the subpaths?
