Another one from my, how shall I say, my early works...

What would really bring out the image is if you can find the same type of leaves face forward to replace the ones overshadowing the frame. Having the leaves face the viewer gives the image a personable appeal. The leaves facing away, as they currently are doing, means they wish to be left...

    Angel in the forest

I'm going to agree with everything said so far, but add in my own take on it, too. One thing I always say about scene compositions is that if every object in the finished product doesn't match the lighting direction, angle and perspective of the background, the illusion is lost on the viewer...

    texturing workflow - need help

Well, iceboy goes on on to say this in his second post, which muddies it for me... (edit:corrected typos) "new example. a brick texture like this. i model all the bricks and render them in ortographic view. now in photoshop i would like to add different images on top of those bricks to make a...

    texturing workflow - need help

I'm confused. We are doing this in 3D? I'm with dv8, hit it in your 3D tool, not Photoshop. Sure, you can overly individual textures on individual objects in Photoshop, but there is no batch process. If you are going for 3D blocks as brick representation but plan to leave only the front...

    texturing workflow - need help

Why can't you put each mask each texture layer to be masked over the color blocks it is supposed to cover? Create a mask for blue, one for red, etc.

Before & After Retouch (Kim Kardashian)

"You're not a hobbit, right?" I'm not really feeling it. While I get that you want that natural and fresh look, it still doesn't make her any less hobbit-ish looking.

    Retouch + Make-Up II

I think her lips look better in the before pic. The lighter shade in the after pic subdues her lips too much. I think if you increase contrast a bit there it would have that "wow" type of impact.

Very cool. My son has that app on his iPad, but I rarely have opportunity to mess with it.

    Painting in progress

Not too bad of a start, but I think I get what Claire is saying about the misty, er, mountain area. Practice, practice, practice.

    All Hail the King!

I never been too sure of my talents and skills, to be quite honest. Seems like every time I actually say that I think I am proud of my work as an artist or designer, someone comes along and tells me that my work and I are crap. Edit:/ Wow, didn't mean to lump on the self-loathing, was just...

    All Hail the King!

Oh, forget it. Nobody liked it over on deviantart, what with a single view. I must be falling down on the artistic job these days, or, I have been deluding myself all these years.

    All Hail the King!

If you are an Iron Man fan, you probably have seen IM3 already. Remember Trevor, the "Mandarin"? Well, this is a replica of his Captain America Anarchy tattoo seen in a Marvel short film called, "All Hail the King." Enjoy the desktop wallpaper.

    Possible New Job

Dreamweaver is a web design app. You can build and manage html, CSS and javascript files, among others. I prefer it over any of the Microsoft tools.

    Possible New Job

If you have experience with Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Photoshop, you should have no problems learning the Corel Draw suite of tools. Good luck!
