    I've been asked to change the color of a dog's fur - from white to dark brown

    I've tried some of the more common methods of color switching (for ex. replace color), but nothing looks convincing. It always looks like I've simply tainted the color - not changed it entirely. I've tried adding blend modes, but I haven't been successful there, either. Any suggestions...
