    Text inside text without filling the e, d etc.

    I know how to make text inside text. I'm using a big fat font, create a text path and fill it up with smaller text. I'm confused how I make it so that de d, e, o etc. don't get completely filled with text also. Can someone please tell me how that's done? I haven't found a tutorial online...
