What can I say...you're right. Don't I feel dumb. :redface: Thanks so much. Hey side note... how do you toggle off that blue "X" in the middle of your image? Mine is turned on now and cant find where you turn it off. Thanks in advance.- marcm

Illustrator Clipping mask stopped working?
1) Place an image onto an artboard 2) select object (box) 3) Move object over the image 4) Select gradient 5) Select both objects 6) Go to objects from menu 7) Select clipping mask 8) Select “make” 9) They merge but without a gradient in the image- marcm

Illustrator Clipping mask stopped working?
When I place an image....add an object like a box in front of the image....add gradient to the box...click on both objects....go to objects...clipping mask...make After that, the image still looks the same with no gradient / fade.. Any ideas?- marcm
