Photoshop screwing with my GPU while HW acceleration is enabled

Ok, so the place is called Photoshop Gurus, but no one has ANY idea why this is happening? Oh well, thanks anyway. I guess I'll try asking on another "guru" forum.

Photoshop screwing with my GPU while HW acceleration is enabled

Hi. I've been having an issue with Photoshop for a while and I can't seem to find a solution. I own a GeForce GTX 770 video card and this is what the specs look like while it's idle and Photoshop isn't running. The memory and core clock are both throttled way down while the card is idle...

    Red eye removal

I realize what needs to be done, but the problem is that I don't quite know how to do that in Photoshop. Do you know any tutorials or guides that deal with something similar? Thanks in advance. I'm not using any reflectors at all, just a home made softbox mounted to the end of my lens. The...

    Red eye removal

My apologies if my previous reply sounded rude. That was not my intention. I do appreciate whatever help I get on these forums. You're right, the red eye effect is dependent on the angle between the light source and the subject, so it doesn't appear in all the images. It's hard to tell which...

    Red eye removal

When I photograph certain species of spiders sometimes there's a weird reflection in one or both eyes. I guess it's the equivalent of "red eye" in humans. I tried using the Red Eye tool on the image below and it works ok, but it's not perfect. Is there a better way to remove that distracting red...

    Color blending

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. After some consideration I decided to leave the black area of the image alone. I normally take great care when photographing spiders to avoid black areas like that (where the light from my flash can't reach), but this particular spider wasn't the most...

    Color blending

Hi. I'm looking for a way to get rid of the black area in the upper right corner of the image below. What would be a good way to blend and extend the light brown color behind the spider all the way to the upper right corner? I just want the black area removed or made less noticeable...
