    You need to set the radius in the option bar at the top when you have the rounded rectangle tool selected, it's probably 0 or close to 0 right now.

    Image 1: a simple landscape with a vignette created with what looks like some bubble? Pointless combination, doesn?t impress me. Image 2: slightly better, at least you combine three elements that are related. The plain background, the color and the bubble kinda thing (again) however ruin it...
