Temporary brightening
Thanks loads, that solved it. Btw, I personally have completely no use for the Sample all layers option, but since it's there (and on by default), I assume other people use it, so it seems like a design error to include adjustment layers in the definition of "all layers".- dirty_rat

Temporary brightening
I'm working on an image with the mixer brush and I can't see some of the darker parts of the image well (sun shining on monitor). Is there a way to temporarily brighten the image without actually changing it? I tried the Adjustment layers, but the mixer brush stopped working - it just paints...- dirty_rat
