Appreciate the effort IamSam! This was the last run of the Rio Grande Zephyr. A lot of people turned out for it. The location is well known. I suggested to Dennis that he post this photograph on some of the railfan forums and facebook groups. I think he has a fairly good shot at finding...

Wow John that is tantalizing. Thankfully the secret to immortality was not written on that sign (I don't think!). I told the person who took this photo that he might have better luck trying to track down who the person is rather than trying to decipher the sign. Thanks again John!

If it won't open for you, I think you can change the file extension to .tif and open it.

A friend of mine is working on a video project that includes the attached slide. He would like to know what the sign reads that the guy is holding. I have tried to help him but I can't make it out either. Do any of you know any tricks that might reveal what this says?

Advice on Eliminating Person From Photo?

Thanks I just read your reply. What I tried was doing a Select->All and then the blur tool worked. But it doesn't have a lot of range. I will try your suggestion.

Advice on Eliminating Person From Photo?

Thanks IAmSam. Yes I'm aware of the clone stamp doubling. I was going to blur the entire background, but for some reason I am unable to get the blur brush tool to work(?) Layer is selected. Mode is Normal. Strength is 100%. It does nothing. Any ideas?

Would like advice please trying to salvage damaged B&W negatives

That's excellent IamSam. I started this project from scratch (no pun intended) today, and have been using a mixture of content aware fill, copy/paste and the clone stamp. For sure this is going to take me a while.

I think I'm good now. I deleted a bunch of stuff - and then I was able to re-launch PS. I then did a purge all from PS and now I have 53gb free on my HD.
