    Thank you for responding to my question. The character in the story is doing the original art on Bristol board, then scanning it and coloring it in Photoshop and doing the lettering and word balloons in Illustrator.

    What I need to know is which version of Photoshop first allowed you to duplicate layers and set to multiply? For my story I'm writing, this allows a comic artist to have a line work layer at the top, then below that, the flats layer. Would that have been available in 2001?
