Thanks for that. It is slightly clearer and you have found a little more of an explanation than I did. When you say, "the main subject" in your image. Are we talking say if a building is the main focus, measure it and then half it? And, is there any way in which to email Adobe themselves?- quisait

Hi there I'm new to the forum but not to Photoshop. However, I have a question that is nagging me. When using shadow/ highlight what radius setting is ideally used? Does this depend on the dimensions of your image? I've read the help document that comes with PS but it is not exactly...- quisait
