Yes, I tried using the white arrow tool for selecting, but it still doesn't work for me to select directly anchor points of different paths and make a new one out of these... What I do now is to copy the paths, then delete portions of them, and then joining...

    Ok, I see it now, thanks! But.... When I click the whole path gets selected. How can I select only portions of this, till the interestion point? And does this technique also work if the two paths were from the same colour? Thanks!

    Ok, thanks for your comment! I use Wacom Bamboo fun, and I can control the thickness with pen pressure using the Brush Tools in Photoshop, but didn't find any way to change the opacity.     Indeed, I noticed a darker area when two different strokes meet. But I don't find it natural that Photoshop doesn't add density in one line stroke... Is there any reason this would be more useful? Any parameter in some Preference Tab that could change that, any discussion about this topic...

    Hello all, When using the Brush tool in Photoshop, adjusting its opacity to (say) 50% en then painting the number "8"---so by crossing the curve with itself---how come the crossing does not add its opacity? If you would draw with a real brush on a real canvas, and come back to the same point...
