    did you try blurring or smudging it? But really, it looks like you could just magnify it to about 1600 and erase the few offending pixels one by one.

    how do i select the whole sky between trees and leaves???

    Use the magic wand tool and UNCHECK "contiguous" it will select all pixels of that color. Do it in CS3, and if any other pixels of a similar color get picked up get rid of them quickly using the quick selection tool (the one with the minus sign next to it at the top).

    how do i get this look

    Use the polygone lasso tool, select the area you want to be gray, copy it into a new PS document, image>mode>grayscale, then drag it back to the original.

    How do I remove backgrounds fast?

    Use the magic wand tool. click on the white area, and hit delete. If its not PURE white you might need to change the tolerance to 10 or 20. But you shouldnt need to go too high if it's just white and black.
