    OK i duplicated the layer, selected brush tool and the colour i wanted and painted over the area - then when i went to blending mode and changed to soft light, the colour changed back to the original colour before i started editing.... hmm...any ideas? thanks

    thanks...the thing is the section i want to change is not just a plain colour but has texture etc since its a photo of a canvas painting...will the below still work ok with this? appreciate your comment

    Hi I have selected part of a photo i wish to change the colour of using the magic wand now when i goto change colour using hue and saturation I cannot locate the exact colour that i want... any ideas re this much appreciated thanks
