    How to achieve this color effect

    The 'edited photo' is much darker overall so I used the 2nd entry with curves adjustment layers to match the colour, saturation and lightness of the sample. Each adjustment was selectively applied by filling the mask with black and painting, at a low opacity, with a while coloured brush.

    You're welcome. I think that I speak for many here, that when there is a post available, It provides an opportunity to practice our skills to get to the reults that is being asked for. In some instances, maybe offer personal perspectives i.e. saturation increase, distraction(s) removal...

    If it was me making the request, I would look forward to seeing a variety of perspectives/approaches. That way, I would have a bunch to choose from and decide which suits me best. There are some very experienced folks here i.e. EugeneGraphics But that just me. Cheers.
