Hi,

Sorry for the basic question. I aplied this puple colour outside the working area by mistake using a hotkey and was wondering how to get rid of it to the default. I tried in prefernces to no avail.

I believe that if you hold down cntrl+alt+shift while PS loads it will pop up a window asking if you'd like to delete the PS settings file. Select Yes and PS will delete it and make you a new one.

That should reset it.

Paintbucket, pick the colour you want, hold shift, and click in the outside area.
I use it all the time.
