I would have kept the right area darker, but the edit in that area was good, as is the sky, but I can't do what I want with a global edit. There's three areas to be adjusted. I can adjust the bright hillside with levels to show more contrast and saturated colors, but anything I do is going to affect the bottom edge of the cloud. The transparency of the clouds probably cant be separated from the land.

 I can't tell which photo you worked on, but it looks like the one that shows the artifact. The bottom of the cloud is curvy rather than wisp.

I've been reading about using channels to create masks. Will pursue that for a while, when I get around to it again. Thanks for the effort.
