Can you include the actual file in a post (or a link to the image on a file-sharing app, e.g., Dropbox) to be examined?  Also, if you could attach a file that does not have the problem, it would help as well.  The metadata could be reviewed to see what is different or if there are any other clues.

I have had images with strange problems as well.  Once, it was related to having a unique scanner ICC profile that PS choked on.  It is so hard to know what we will find.  Just provide the dirt, and forum members can start digging.
