Just got a new pc with Win7. CS3 will load up but cannot view NEF files. When I open Bridge I get message saying that this version only works with pentium4, celron etc. It will still open though. I have te I5 processor.
Also, in bridge I can't see NEF files. It only shows icons.
Very frustrated. Just bought new machine and can't edit photos.
Called Adobe(spent eons on hold) and they said CS3 is NOT compatible with Win7. Said I would have to upgrade to CS5.
I there anyway to make CS3 work on Win7? I've spent hours already trying to solve this problem. Really don't want to spend $200 to upgrade to CS5. Any help would be great. Thanks

uninstall it and when launching the installer again right click it and select compatability mode set it to an earlier version of windows

I tried switching compatibility but didn't work. My new pc was loaded w/ Win7- not sure I could switch to xp because it was never loaded.
Too make matters worse, just talked to Adobe about possibly upgrading to 5 and they aren't recognizing my serial#. Now I'm on hold with customer service. Already spent over an hour on hold with them earlier. Losing my mind!

Are they not recognising the serial or did you not deactivate it from your old computer so it is registering as a multi used serial number I did not know adobe was so sensetive when My system crashed and had to reinstall it all because I never deactivated it beforehand I spent days trying to get adobe to send me a new 1, you use to be able to register the same serial upto 5 times but now it appears you cant.

You should be able to install windows xp in a virtual enviroment on top of windows 7
