Specific Could anyone help with a little photo editing?!

Hello! I’m just wondering if anyone e is able to help edit the below pictures? The angle of the sun has made the pictures kind of hazy and not very clear - is it possible to do anything about this or am I stuck with it being hazy? I’ve tried to fix it myself but have just ended up making it worse If anyone is able to help I would really really appreciate it!

Quick attempt on the first image using mostly the Camera Raw filter. Could probably use more work to reduce some of the artifacts and smooth out the skin tone, but it's late here and I'm off to bed soon.
