Create a Silhouette?

I'm looking to to be able to create images that are similar to the photo on the left, a silhouette to be more specific. Help?

welcome to the forums Arush!

Basically you need to create an accurate selection to islolate the person from its background. Once you have done that, you can fill the selection with a colour.

The method you use to make a selection will largely depend on what the original image looks like. There are many methods.

The most accurate and flexible method is probably the "Pen Tool", with which you will make a 'path' that defines the edge of the person.
