Flickr used to be a hugely popular photo site. Now it seems to be mostly bots after the majority of users left after they mismanaged the site so bad.

Do any of you still use this failed social media site?

I still use it but not as social media just as a image bank i just to used imageshack but the quality on flikr was better and free.

Cheers!

Yeah, it seems to have become just a place where where use the free storage to backup all their photos. The social aspect seems to be mostly dead. It is amazing how badly they managed their site. For the first time though, they are actually making some changes and trying to innovate but it is too little too late.

The last time I used it was about 3 years ago.
I think this is good time to delete my account.
I left myself around 2012 or 2013 when they killed it with a terrible redesign but came back recently. It seems most people left and never came back.

I don't think you should delete your account. It is a great photo backup than can really come in handy.

There are better ways to back up images.

Just a reminder, here on the forum we prefer that you upload images directly to the forum in order to preserve the integrity of images posted in the threads. Linked photos to hosting sites have a tendency to disappear.

It was my go to site for years, and I spent a lot of time on the Photoshop groups, but it became unusable when Yahoo (I think) took over and messed up the UI. My connection was admittedly pants at the time to be fair, but that would not have been the case for most people, so I am guessing that groups like The Photoshop Support group went from a dozen posts a day to one a month. (I just checked, and it is a 'little' bit better now, and some of my old buddies have posted recently).

I rarely upload anything nowadays though.

I am sure there are better ways to backup photos but having another option of cloud backup that is free is always a good thing.

Also, I have not been uploading photos but thanks for letting me know.

Yeah, they killed their own website with an awful redesign that was super slow to load, especially for people in countries that have slow internet. It's almost like they wanted to destroy it on purpose.
