Drag and drop multiple layers from Bridge?

When I drag and drop psd file from Bridge on open document it ends up in the document as smart object.
When I drag and drop psd file from Bridge on the toolbar it opens the file with all the layers.
I know that I can access the layer by double-clicking on smart object.
I know that I can drag and drop multiple layers from one file into another.
But I have limited use of any of the above functionality (except as intermediate step) - what I need is to drag and drop all the layers from one psd file into another right from Bridge, without opening the file first, is there a way to do it?

oh sorry just mis read it mmm not sure on if you can import layers from 1 psd to another without copying them individually sorry I mis lead you.

The file must be open to copy/duplicate the layers into your open document but it can be made less of a hassle. Here is a Bridge script that when installed will allow you to select the psds in Bridge and the layers from the selected psds will be put into the open document in Photoshop.Unzip the zip file.Start Bridge PC: Edit - Preferences - Startup ScriptsMac: Adobe Bridge menu - Preferences - Startup ScriptsAt the bottom click the "Reveal Button" this will open the folder where the script should be placed. Close and restart Bridge.Accept the new script. To use:Have the document open in Photoshop (the active document)Select the pdfs that you want the layers to be copied into the open Photoshop Document. From Bridge (right mouse click menu) and select "Layers to Open Doc"The layers will then be copied.

HUGE thank you. The script even works with multiple documents selected in Adobe Bridge! This one is a time saver.

Judging by your Script Master title you probably aware of other Bridge Scripts that can be useful to Photoshop users and online resources for writing, editing and sharing such scripts. Can you list some links, please?

I use some script/action combo to import multiple pages from PDF files in Photoshop. Is there a Bridge script that would allow a user to do the same?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you again. I can certainly use many of the scripts from your site in my workflow (Picture Processor, Layer Saver, etc). I've been using PDF processor for a while already. A lot of my work involves replacement of layer / smart object content with content of image directories / pages from pdf files, so the ability to export content of smart objects / pdf pages to a directory right from Bridge would be helpful... PDf processor and some of my own scripts and actions automate it to large extent already but Bridge export would simply be a bit more elegant solution ("Pages to Open Doc", "Pages to Folder", "Folder to Smart Objects / Layers", "SOs / Layers to Folder". There is one other issue that has to do with AI files - it appears that in order to use ai files as paths in Photoshop I need to open them in Illustrator first and then copy and paste them - only then Photoshop gives me the option to use the input as paths - simple act of dragging and dropping the file will not do the trick. It would be nice to have option of "Paths to Open Doc" right in Bridge. I know that I can get quite greedy with my Photoshop requests :) and I of course realize that without opening parent application Bridge may not be able to do much... Anyway, I don' want to abuse your kindness... the scripts you have written so far is of significant assistance for me already... but I will certainly check your sites for new additions. Thank you again.
