error in photoshop, help me please!

I am trying to highlight a certain area of an image to extract it. This is my first day on photoshop so I'm sure the solution is quite simple...I just don't get it.

I took a screenshot of the image (attached)

Just click ok, go to IMAGE/MODE/ and click RGB COLOUR.

Yeah it's 12.10pm just gone midday here 31c and just got out the pool, looking in on the gurus while i watch the turkey destroy it's self lol. Just joking did turkey yesterday all veggies on the bubble now pigs in blankets a squeaking roasties all crispy and brown, lunch for 1.30pm.
