Hello PSG Community, another newbie joined up so get ready for some more unchallenging questions
Well basically my wife bought me Photoshop CS2 as a present a few months ago and i love changing and playing with photos of my family. I've been kinda self teaching myself via tutorials but sometimes i never get to the end as i stuggle understanding the cs lingo. Yet theres a few i've done with exact results
Ive managed to do the colour photo to pencil sketch, and applying a layer mask to blend in another photo using the gradient tool, hey not bad is it for a beginner, only 4 months to learn lol! But something so simple looks awesome.
Its great fun tho having family or friends comment on the thank you letters we sendout, but my best moment was my wife telling me how impressed the other mums in the playground were with Thank-You notes i done for my sons 5th birthday in September. It was a photo of him with his cake, but i cut out his face and changed the background with a filter to make it look like a coloured sketch, turned his face back on and added some text. Very simple for you, took me all day lol but worth it in the end. I really do want to learn this software and get myself to a basic level of understanding, i love reading the tutorials, i wish i could complete one lol but i keep trying.
Ive also tried adding my boys faces to the main logo of the film Incredibles, but they always look like they have that cut out and paste effect, so i might be asking you some advice on that.
Anyway as you all seem pretty friendly, i havent yet read a answer to anyones questions that has had any hint of sarcasim or dis-respect, so thats why i have taken the plunge to ask.
This might be a bit long winded to explain so ive done a picture to try and get my question over

When i add text i can only align it to the left right of center, i want to be able to follow the outline of an object in one paragraph, is this something that can be done? The Camera is pretty crude effort but im not the best at explaining what i mean.
Hope its okay to ask and many thanks for a great forum
Steve
