Help creating this type of pattern

the psychedelic pattern on the fabric, not the crumpled fabric effect. thanks

It's really hard to tell exactly how this was made. But here are a few steps that might get you going in the right direction.
I started with a print pattern. It has a transparent background.
Added some background color with the Brush Tool on a layer below the pattern.
Played with some strokes and blending options on the pattern layer.
Maybe a blur to "fuzzy" up the edges...........????
It would probably take a while to get a closer match to your sample pattern, but this can get you moving in the right direction. It's truly just a matter of experimentation!!
There are just too many ways to approach this in Photoshop!
