Help duplicating something.

Hi there
Have a look at this image: omis.ca/nav.jpg

I'm trying to duplicate that in photoshop for a background that I have on a navigation menu. I'm having a hard time creating that "jagged" and "grungy" look with the strokes...

Just wondering if anyone could guide me in creating that look with photoshop?

You need to use grunge brushes.

Here's one that has useful ones: triberadio.com/brushIN.htm (works with Photoshop 7 and upwards)

How would I use the brushes for that? How would the brush make the lines? I have a few grunge brushes but don't know how to make that nav with them?
