Help ! How Can I Tile This Background Image ?

I am using Photoshop CS6, just bought it. And not to mention I am new to Graphics.

Anyways, I am wanting to tile the following image, and use it as my body background. It's going to repeat vertically down the page.

Can someone please help this poor soul out?

the techinique i use to get patterns out of images is ..
first save the image tht u want as pattern in seperate jpg file.
then simply open it in Photoshop and go to Edit>define pattern >give it a name and save > and its done
to use the pattern..select the pattern stamp tool and choose ur pattern and click spam \0/..


edit: correct me if i.m wrong.(new to forums)
