I love to create fan art for my favorite video games. Some of my Gears of War and Unreal Tournament artwork has been mistaken as official art. I don't think I am that good, but I won't pass up such compliments when they roll in. This newest piece is Gears of War Judgment Reaper medal wallpaper. Seeing how there were no example images save for a couple of thumbnails on the web, my biggest challenge was to make a unique version while maintaining the visual identity of the original medal.
The project file for the medal is 5000x2800 pixels, so yes, I scaled it down to fit here. Total time on the project was about 20 hours. Yes, I must be lethargic or something.
